Cochran – Geneva C. Smith, age 86, passed away, Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Bryant Nursing and Rehab in Cochran. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Geneva was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late A. Robert and Mattie Viola Crosby Smith and was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Rogers Little, her sisters, Jessie Lee Gugle, Faye Rozier and Roberta Lucas, her brothers, Jack Smith and James Ralph Smith. She was a graduate of Cochran High School and had worked at The Strawberry Patch, Western Auto, Pa's Porch and was a seamstress at Calvin's Cleaners. Mrs. Geneva was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Louie Smith of Cochran, her children, Ricky (Donna) Smith of Cochran, Betty (Dean) Rogers of Kathleen and Bobby (Debbie Newman) Smith of Cochran; her grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Corey (Maura) Smith, Jake (Sarah) Smith, Matt (Courtney) Rogers and Lindsay (Eric) Baker; great grandchildren, Luke Smith, Nick Rogers, Jack Rogers and Faith BoCook; her sisters, Sue Lucas of Cochran and Dorothy Strickland of Cairo; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 130 Daisy Adams Road, Cochran and will greet friends Monday, October 7, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.
