Dublin – George A. Hogan, age 76, died Thursday, July 25, 2019, in Serenity Place in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors.

George, born in Elizabethtown, KY, had lived in Dublin 48 years. He was the son of the late Lucille Greene Hogan and Addison N. Hogan. He was retired from Mohawk Industries in Dublin and a US Army Veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm and was retired from the US Army Reserves. George was a member and past post commander of the American Legion, Post #17 and a Methodist.

Survivors are his wife, Fay Hogan of Dublin; his children, Lucy (Pat) Cramer of Scottsboro, AL, Elizabeth (William) Craven of Baxley and Douglas (Ann) West of Lyons; brothers, Alex (Sue) Hogan of Mexico Beach, FL and David (Marla) Hogan of Abbeville; sisters, Mary Ann (Pete) Tyre of Dublin, Sue (Ed) Leary of Fairfax, VA and Kris (Greg) Harden of Dublin; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; special friend, B.T. Stanley of Montrose.

The family is at 635 Old Macon Road Extension and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
