Cochran – Geraldine “Jerry” Woody, age 84, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. in Limestone Baptist Church. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on in Lakewood, Ohio, Mrs. Jerry later made her home in Cochran, where she lived beginning in 1979. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Joseph Spisak and Sophie Tomek Spisak and the wife of the late Gerald Lee Woody.

Mrs. Woody was a homemaker and also worked at Papa’s Pizza to Go in Cochran. She attended Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Quinn (Alec) Daniel of Cochran and Blaine (Ann) Woody of Charlotte, NC; her life companion T. Whipple Simpson of Cochran; her grandchildren, Luke Woody, Bayden Woody, Gera Durand, and Gentry McCoy; her great grandchildren, Zoey, Alexis, Josie Cate and Cope; her brother, Richard (Judy) Spisak of Willoughby, OH; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 241 Whipple Simpson Road, Cochran.
