Cochran – G.J. Henson, age 77, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Henson, born in Osceola, Arkansas, had lived in Pahokee, Florida before moving to Cochran 11 years ago. He was the son of the late James Elmer and Edith Imus Henson. He was a retired mechanic from US Sugar Corporation.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley H. Henson of Cochran; his sons, Wilbur (Tammie) Henson and Gregory Henson of Cochran and Shannon (Mimi) Henson of St. Augustine, Florida; sisters, Anna Lee (Kenneth) Collins and Martha Woodby of Tennessee; brother, James (Betty) Bohannon of California; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 1117 Highway 26 W and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
