Cochran – Gloria Howell Preston, age 72, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. in Limestone Memorial Gardens in Bleckley County.

Gloria had lived most of her life in Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Lanier and Eva Powell Howell and the wife of the late Edward C. "E.C." Preston, III. She was a 1966 graduate of Cochran High School and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Gloria had worked at Do-It-Best Hardware and Ace Hardware in Cochran.

Survivors are her children, Tonya (Jeff) Lassiter and Todd Churchwell all of Cochran; grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Stewart of Dublin, Jake Lassiter, Makayla Churchwell, Cason Churchwell and Landon Young all of Cochran; great grandchildren, Kate and Ellie Stewart; brothers, Doug (Joann) Howell of Danville, Dennis Howell of Cochran; sister, Rita (Joe) Maddox of Covington; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 187 Robert Lassiter Road, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Saturday at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
