Cochran – Grady Howell Ard, Jr., age 59, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in Bryant Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cochran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens in Macon.

Grady was born in San Diego, CA. He spent most of his life in Jones County before moving to Cochran in 1999. He was the son of the late Grady Howell, Sr. and Doris White Ard. and was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ard. He worked at Lithonia Lighting and Georgia Chips and enjoyed spending time with his extended family at the Huddle House in Cochran.

Survivors are his sisters, Sally Jane Ard of Cochran and Marie Bardash ; stepbrother, Andrew (Becky) Foster of Snowhill, NC; aunts, Joann Still of Cartersville and Ruth Nobles of Woodstock; and several cousins.

The family will greet friends an hour before the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
