Roddy – Gwen Belflower Genereux, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. in Roddy Community Cemetery.

Gwen, born in Macon, was raised in Roddy and had lived in Eastman and Blairsville before moving back to Roddy. She was the daughter of the late Matthew "Red" and Sybel Joiner Belflower and was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Genereux and her brother, Mitchell Belflower. Gwen was a bookkeeper.

Survivors are her children, Wade (Stephanie) Mullis of Athens and Gretchen (Dennis) Horne of Roddy; her granddaughters, Sybel Mullis of Athens, Catlin Horne of Cochran and Samantha Horne of Sandy Springs; great granddaughter, Kinley Grace Horne; her sister, Susan (Jay) Knight of Cochran; her brother, Mike Belflower of Roddy; several nieces.

The family is at 187 Bernard Wright Road, Cochran and will greet friends Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.
