Harold Eugene Peters, age 80, went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and faithful service. Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched countless lives through his unwavering kindness and dedication to his church and community.

Born in Essex, Missouri and raised in Noblesville, Indiana, Harold was a proud graduate of Noblesville High School and a lifelong fan of Indiana University basketball and football. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force before building a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love.

Harold retired from McMan Food Company in Noblesville after 19 ½ years of loyal service. Never one to sit still, he went on to run two family businesses—Hal Vending and Peters Special Care—for over 27 years before retiring once again.

In 1972, Harold made a life-changing decision when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. From that day forward, he lived with renewed purpose and joy, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to ministry. He served as a bus ministry worker and director, children's church pastor, and member of the visitation team. His passion for reaching children with the love of Christ left a lasting imprint on many young hearts.

While living in Indiana, Harold attended Pilgrim Holiness Church in Noblesville, and in recent years, he was a faithful member of Cochran First Church of the Nazarene, in Cochran, Georgia, where his spirit of service and encouragement continued to bless those around him.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Vera Peters, and their three children: Jeanna Morrisett (Tim), Pamela Charles (David), and Stacey Peters (Rochelle). He was the proud grandfather to 22 grandchildren, and lots of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother, and infant twins. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy will live on in the lives he helped shape.

Harold had a deep love for the outdoors and took great pride in his yard, often planting flowers and enjoying God's creation. A fan of classic cars and a patient fisherman, he could often be found casting a line on the banks of a favorite fishing spot or enjoying breakfast at Huddle House in Cochran, Georgia. In earlier years he enjoyed meeting with coworkers at Jim Dandy Restaurant in Noblesville, Indiana.

Those who knew Harold will remember his steadfast faith, his warm smile, and his generous heart. He was a man of integrity, laughter, and quiet strength, whose greatest joy came from serving God and loving his family.

A celebration of Harold's life and a burial service will be held in Indiana at a later date.
