Cochran – Harriet Scott Dunn, age 65, passed away, Friday, March 31, 2023, in the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with full military honors.

Harriet, born in Tampa, FL, had lived in Cochran since 2016 and was the daughter of the late Jessie Scott. She proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force. Throughout her military career she was stationed at Headquarter SAC Offutt AFB, Wiesbaden AFB, Peters AFB, Anderson AFB, Vandenberg AFB, with her final assignment being Robins AFB where she worked in the Legal Office with the Judge Advocate Generals (JAGs). Harriet received numerous awards throughout her military career reflecting her dedicated service including the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award. Proceeding her active duty retirement she worked as a Project Manager at Robins AFB in Aircraft Maintenance where she worked diligently to welcome the first global hawk. After her final retirement she welcomed her role as a grandma with open arms and fell in love with the hobbies of thrifting and antiquing. Harriet met so many new friends that shared her new passion. She had so much love to give to this world, and was one of the most chipper and headstrong people in Warner Robins. She had a love for rescuing animals which was paralleled by her love for Lily beds. Over the the past 30 years she served as a second mother to many of her daughters friends and left a long lasting mark on all of their lives. Harriet was a member of Longstreet Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Dave Dunn of Cochran; her children, Mandy (George) Bass, of Kathleen, Sarah Dunn of Statesboro and Hannah Dunn of Ogden, UT; her grandchildren, Levi Bass and Luca Archulets; her mother, Janie Tucker Scott of Pulaski; her sisters, Lydgia (Kenny) Davis and Helen (Dale) McCorkle all of Register; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Longstreet Methodist Church, 485 Longstreet Road, Cochran, GA 31014 or the Cochran Animal Shelter, c/o City of Cochran, 112 W. Dykes St., Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will greet friends after the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
