Cochran – Harvey Kay McNease, Jr., age 79, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, in Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Cochran First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Yearty Cemetery.

Mr. Harvey was born in Brunswick and was the son of the late Harvey Kay, Sr. and Doris Ella Arnett McNease. He was a graduate of Wrightsville High School, Class of 1964 and attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran and the Tennessee Military Institute in Sweetwater, TN.  After school, He worked for the Blue Bird Corporation for a short time. Mr. Harvey then began his career as a surveyor, surveying for Mr. John Dye. He later surveyed for Mr. Jerry Peacock at Peacock Surveys until his retirement. Mr. Harvey loved to watch football games. It didn't matter if it was high school football, college football or pro football, if he had a chance to watch a game either in person or on tv, he did. He especially loved watching his beloved Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Mr. Harvey was a member of the Cochran First Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Davis McNease of Cochran; his sons, Mark (Cathy) McNease of East Dublin and Doug (Christy) McNease of Cochran; his grandchildren, Dawson (Gracie NeSmith) McNease, Logan (Trenton) Dowdy and Jordan (Sara) McNease; great grandchildren, Reese, Clayton and Atlas; his sister, Suzanne (Michael) Dudley of Jefferson; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family is at 234 Ninth St, Cochran and will greet friends an hour before the service on Thursday, at Cochran First Methodist Church.
