Harvey Wayne White, age 72, passed away on August 3, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Stephen White officiating. Visitation will be held at Mathis immediately following the service. Burial will be private.

Born on October 7, 1953, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, Wayne was the son of Harvey Rex White and Pauline Padgett White. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey White, his brother Keith White, his grandparents, Sam and Julia Padgett and Morgan and Ella White. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Cochran and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Wayne graduated Cochran High School in 1971 and worked for his father with the City of Cochran before they started a construction business. He then began his lifelong career of building pools with Mid State Pools, where he excelled and was featured in several magazines.

Wayne was an avid hunter and had travelled to Canada, Alaska, and Kentucky on hunts. He loved motorcycles and he, his brother and friends shared many adventures riding all over Georgia.

He is survived by his mother, Pauline Padgett White of Cochran, his wife, Kathy Jo White of Cochran, his daughter, Tiffany Ann White of Cochran, his son Harvey Wayne White Jr of Soperton, his sister, Robin Michelle White of Cochran, his sister-in-law Tina White of Chester, step-niece, Wendy Garnto of East Dublin and step-nephew Dylan Garnto of Adrian, nephew Jeff (Jacklyn) White of Colorado Springs, several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Wayne’s memory will live on with those who knew and loved him dearly.
