Cochran – Helen Allen Churchwell, age 79, died Thursday, April 9, 2020, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Private graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Helen had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Chapman Allen and was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kim Churchwell. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a member of the Cochran Pilot Club. Helen attended Cochran First Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, James "Doc" Churchwell of Cochran; her children, Tim Churchwell and Tina (David) Foskey of Cochran; her grandsons, Chris (Cassey) Churchwell, Clay Foskey and James Foskey of Cochran; her mother Christine H. Allen of Cochran; her sister, Bonnie (Wayne) Horne of Cochran; her brothers, Roger (Kay) Allen and Joe (Jean) Allen of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.
