Cochran – Helen Jarrell Hart, age 77, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Hart Cemetery.

Mrs. Hart, born in Bleckley County on February 5, 1947, was the daughter of the late Thurman Jarrell and Jewel Coley Jarrell and was preceded in death by her siblings Ray Jarrell and Brenda F. Stinchfield. She served as the Chief Magistrate Judge of Bleckley County until her retirement.  Helen was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Cochran, Georgia.

Survivors are her husband of 58 years, Lawton Hart Jr.; her daughter, Stephanie (Jay) Petro of Eastman; her son, Phillip (Kimberly) Hart of Cochran; her grandchildren, Jacob (Amanda) Byram of Byron, Gage Byram of Statesboro and Molly Hart of Cochran; great grandchildren, Brodeigh and Bentley Byram of Byron; her brother, Robert Jarrell of Hawkinsville; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Jarrell; and several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 143 Paula Drive, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Sunday at Hart Cemetery.
