Hiawassee, GA - Helen Irene Lamkin, age 81, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee. Memorial services were held Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran, GA.

Helen was born December 27, 1938 in Cochran, GA to the late Jefferson and Sybil Fowler Collins. She was preceded in death by her sons, Edward Carey and David Carey and her brother's Frank Collins and Earl Collins. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Cochran, Georgia. Helen was an amazing homemaker, always keeping her home tidy and clean. Her personality could be what some would call a "feisty little woman" but in a loving and fun way. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed her time at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home and the family is very grateful for the amazing staff that loved their mother and took care of her during the 4 years she was there.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelia (Butch) Reynolds; sons, Wayne Carey, John (Rachel)Holland; sister, Mildred Radford; nine grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
