Cochran – Herbert F. Davis, age 89, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at his residence following a long illness. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 6:00 P.M. in Yearty Family Cemetery.

Mr. Davis, born in Axon, Georgia, had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Lonnie and Eva Bates Davis and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Ellen Arnold Davis, his daughter, Deborah Davis Harper, his son, Stephen Davis and his grandson, Joseph A. Davis. He was owner and operator of Master Built Homes and a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Cochran Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors are his children, Richard (Dee) Davis, Barbara Allen and Susan Kroesser of Cochran; his sister, Ernestine D.(Vaughn) Egan of Cochran; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
