Cochran – Howard M. "Mike" Martin, age 71, died Monday, June 13, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Coody Family Cemetery with full military honors.

Mike, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, had lived in Cochran for 33 years. He was the son of the late Wilbur McDonald and Pearl Henry Roberts Martin and was preceded in death by his brother, Paul J. Martin. Mike was a retired TSGT from the United States Air Force, having served over 20 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School in Warner Robins, a graduate of Troy State and the Community College of the Air Force. Mike was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church, member of The Way Sunday School Class and played the guitar in the church choir.

Survivors are his wife, Sue Coody Martin of Cochran; his brother, Andy (Shelley) Martin of Goose Creek, SC; his sister, Wanda Martin of Memphis, TN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family is at 614 GA Highway 126, Cochran and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service Wednesday at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
