Roddy – Ila Mae "Goatie" Buchanan, age 83, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24, 2020, at 12:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roddy Community Cemetery.

Goatie was a lifelong resident of Roddy and loved her family. She was the daughter of the late Johnny B. and Oppie Belflower Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her brother Albert Buchanan, sisters Lucille Lewis and Patricia Buchanan and her niece Brenda Jones. She loved her animals and was a member of Roddy Baptist Church.

Survivors are her brother, Arvin Buchanan; her nieces, Regina Lewis and Emily (Dennis Blizzard) Jones; great-nieces, Tammy (Rex) McRae, Becky (Lynn) Mullis and Stacey (Mike) Nobles; several great-great nieces and nephews.

The Family will greet friends an hour before the service on Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
