Cochran – Irene Rogers Cook, age 75, died Friday, September 9, 2022, in Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Yearty Family Cemetery.

Irene had lived most of her life in Roddy. She was the daughter of the late Walter H. Rogers and the wife of the late Tommy McDaniel and Dwight Cook. Irene was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Fuller, Janie Tinker, Betty Livingston, Ruby Rogers and Joy Rogers. She attended elementary school in Chester and was a 1964 graduate of Cochran High School. She was retired owner and operator of Irene's Window Design's in Cochran from 1988 until 2018. Irene loved to cook and made wedding cakes for her daughter and granddaughter's weddings and enjoyed crafts and painting. She was known for her delicious apple tarts at family gatherings.

Survivors are her daughter, Wendi (Scot) Allen of Cochran; her grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Sellars, Mallory (Jack Fernandez) Coley, Amanda (Josh) Ryan, and Adriene (Evan) Nobles all of Cochran; great granddaughter, Emory Sellars of Cochran; her brother, Vernon (Susann Short) Radcliff of Macon; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 291 Jones Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
