Cochran – J W Hinson, age 82, died Monday, July 25, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. in the Union Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. J W was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Joe and Alma Giddens Hinson and was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Lynne Hinson and his sister, Edwina Hinson. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a retired bus driver for Bleckley County Schools. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Estelle Hinson of Cochran; his daughter, Trena (Howard) Sanford of Cochran; his grandchildren, Kyle Bessenbacher and Derek (Jenni) Bessenbacher all of Cochran; great grandchildren, Kinley, Blakelyn, Tatum and Reed; his sister, JoAnn Purser of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 106 Bass-Mullis-Smith Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 3:00 P.M. until time for the service Thursday at Union Hill Baptist Church.
