Bonaire – Jack Little Parrish, age 90, went to be with the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 19, 2021, at his residence. Private graveside funeral services will be held Monday February 22, 2021 at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to Covid-19, a public viewing will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins.
Mr. Jack, born April 18, 1930, in Cordele, GA, was the son of the late Walter Guy, Sr. and Wilma A. Little Parrish. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Rev. Guy Parrish and his baby sister, Ann Parrish. He was a graduate of McRae High School and was drafted in the United States Army in 1951. He served 2 years in England at Briznorpan Air Base and was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 32 years of service. Mr. Jack, enjoyed not only playing football in high school, he enjoyed his son Keenan playing for Northside High School in Warner Robins and loved attending Northside football games long after Kennan graduated. Mr. Jack enjoyed college and professional sports. After meeting Barbara, the love of his life whom he called "his angel", they were married at Southside Baptist Church in Cochran. He loved his family, loved spending time with them whether it was building his grandchildren a swimming pool in the backyard or visiting his daughter, Cheryl, in England and taking a trip to Paris, France. Mr. Jack was afraid of heights but he went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and saw a hot air balloon race. He was a longstanding member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins where he was known for coming in several times a week to clean and vacuum the inside of the church while under construction.
Survivors are his wife of 37 years, Barbara Bishop Parrish of Bonaire; his children, Keenan Parrish of Warner Robins and Cheryl Parrish (David) Farr of Atlanta; stepchildren, Jeff Cranford, Debra (Bobby) Yeomans and Lynn (Terry) Lassiter of Cochran; his brother, Robert Parrish of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Adam Parrish, Robin Williams and Kimberlee Farr Mercer; six step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice Care, 1057 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
