Chester – James M. "Buck" Rogers, age 56, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, in Savannah Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Rogers Cemetery in Yonker.

James, a lifelong resident of Dodge County, was the son of the late Melvin C. and Mattie Lou Fountain Rogers. He was an engineer for Flint Energies and had worker at Ocmulgee EMC for 18 years. He was a 1984 graduate of Dodge County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Agriculture Engineering. He was a member of Chester Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Kathy Hosford Rogers of Chester; his stepson, Collin Taylor Wimberly of Cochran; his granddaughter, Addie Wimberly; his brother, John (Shasta) Rogers of Chester; his sister, Brenda (Jim) Kiger of Douglasville; brothers-in-law; James O. "Buddy" (Emily) Hosford and Phillip (Brenda) Hosford all of Chester; several nieces and nephews.

The family is 499 Flat Creek Road, Chester and will greet friends Monday after the service at Rogers Cemetery.
