Obituary

James Irvin Collins Jr, age 65 of Warner Robins, passed away on November 5, 2020. A private memorial service will be planned for a later date.

Jim was born on October 9, 1955, in Macon, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Irvin, Sr. and Annette Dooley Collins and was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Collins Gillam. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and went to work for the Chicago Tribune in Arlington, Texas. He missed home and returned to Georgia three years later to go to Law school. He graduated from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. He practiced law for over thirty years and had an office in Warner Robins, Georgia. Jim enjoyed everything about motorcycles, riding, working on them and just discussing them with others. He also had a love of building things and built his family's first home in Lafayette, Georgia.

He is survived by his three children that he loved and cherished; his daughters, Kelsey Collins of Atlanta, Faith Collins of Chickamauga and his son, Hunter Collins of Rossville. He also leaves two sisters, Alice Mcclendon of Hemmingway, SC and Vicky Collins Morris of Athens; several nephews, a niece and three great nephews.
