Cochran – James Jackson "Jackie" Tripp, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, May 21, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in the Bethany Baptist Church. The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be private in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jackie, born in Dodge County, had lived in Hawkinsville before moving to Cochran. He was the son of the late E.H., Jr. and Vera Thompson Tripp and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Stinson Tripp, his son, James J. "Jim" Tripp and seven siblings. He was a 1956 graduate of Hawkinsville High School and a graduate of Georgia College in Milledgeville with a BA in Business Administration. Mr. Jackie was retired from J.M Huber Corporation and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors are his children Terry (Lynn) Lassiter of Cochran and Tim (Renae) Lassiter of Hawkinsville; his brother, Earl Ray (Patsy) Tripp of Hawkinsville; his sister-in- law, Shannon C. Tripp of Hawkinsville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family is at 194 Wood Duck Road, Cochran.
