Cochran – James Alton "Jamie" Stevens, Sr., age 55, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

Jamie, born in Dublin, was the son of the late Emmett Alton Stevens. He was a 1986 graduate of Bleckley County High School and had worked for Engelhard Kaolin Corporation in Gordon. Jamie loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed looking for arrowheads. Jamie was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors are his children, James Alton "Jay" Stevens, Jr. of Cochran, Dusty Edwards of Cochran and Lily Stevens of Warner Robins; his mother, Emma (Gerald) Ross of Cochran; his brother, David (Charity) Stevens of Cochran; his niece, Juliette Stevens of Cochran.

The family is at 214 Cap Smith Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Salem Baptist Church.
