Cochran – James Roy "Jim" Pace, age 80, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in Atrium Health Navicent the Medical Center in Macon. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Pace, born in Cochran, was the son of the late Fred and Louise Evans Pace. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Pace and his sister, Gail Pace Bowman. He was a graduate of Cochran High School and after graduation he served four years as an MP in the United States Air Force. Mr. Pace was the personnel manager at The Bibb Company Corporate Offices in Macon and retired as personnel manager at Lithonia Lighting Acuity Brands in Cochran. He enjoyed working in the yard, watching the Georgia Bulldogs and golf.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Diane J. Pace; his son, Greg Miller; his daughter, Brandy Maxwell; his granddaughters, Brittney Maxwell, Ashley Maxwell and Lindsey Miller; his sisters, Jean (Larry) Hardy and Faye Hooper; his brother, Jerry Pace; his sister-in-law, Linda Josey; his brothers-in-law, Terry Bowman and Edsal Jump; several nieces and nephews.
