Warner Robins – James L. "Junior" Dunn, Jr., age 80, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Bowers Cemetery.

Mr. Junior, raised in Empire, had lived in Warner Robins since 1976. He was the son of the late James Leroy, Sr. and Martha Ellen Perkins Dunn and was preceded in death by his infant daughter Rhonda Denise Dunn and his sisters, Myrtle Dunn Howell and Jean Dunn Jones. Junior was retired civil service from Robins Air Force Base, veteran of the Georgia National Guard and a 1962 graduate of Cochran High School. He was a charter member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Gayle Dunn of Warner Robins; his children, Pam (Barry) Hooper, Paula (Greg) Peavy and Patrice Dunn Hentze all of Warner Robins; his grandchildren, Heath (Beth) Hooper, Morgan (Tyler) Martin, Colin Peavy, Raegan (Timothy Merth) Newton and Jonathan Newton; his great grandchildren, Hannah Hooper, Hudson Hooper, Rhett Martin, Riley Martin and James Merth; his sisters, Faye (Jim) Dopson of Macon, Joan Smith and Kathy Howell of Cochran, Joyce (R.L.) Farrell of Gray; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 109 Mack Lane, Warner Robins.
