Chester – James M. Mullis, age 61, passed away, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rozar Cemetery in Dodge County.

James, born in West Palm Beach, FL, had lived most of his life in Macon, Cochran and Chester. He was the son of the late Idus "Red" Mullis, Jr. and Mary Lee Brady Mullis. He was a construction worker. James loved his family and bluegrass music.

Survivors are his sisters, Patricia Mullis Woodard and Kim (Bradd) Rowland of Chester; his brothers, Daniel Mullis and Kenny Mullis of Cochran; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family is at 214 Wynne Street, Chester and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
