Cochran – James Kelly Wilson, age 57, died Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Serenity Place in Dublin. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

Kelly, born in Turner County, had lived in Cochran for 3 years. He was the son of the late Lionel G. and Annette Jeter Wilson and was preceded in death by his son Luke Wilson and his brother and sisters. He was a former deputy for Wilcox County and Bleckley County Sheriff Departments and a former police officer at Middle Georgia State University in Cochran. He was an electrician and had worked for City Facilities Management in Jacksonville, FL. He was an avid Alabama fan.

Survivors are his wife, Kelli M. Wilson of Cochran; his daughter, Katie Curry of Cochran; his aunts, uncles, niece and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Serenity Place, 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin GA 31021.

The family is at 216 Lewis St., Cochran and will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
