Milner – Janet Jones “Boog” Floyd, age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Heritage Inn of Barnesville Health and Rehab. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in Bowers Cemetery in Empire. The family will greet friends after the service at Bowers Cemetery.

Janet, born and raised in the Rebie Community in Cochran, had lived in Atlanta for 29 years before moving to Milner. She was the daughter of the late Sherman D. “Dick” and Mavis Tucker Jones and the wife of the late Fred Albert Floyd. She was a 1957 graduate of Cochran High School. Janet had worked at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, had also worked in the grocery business and a Day Care Center. She was a member of Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rebie. Janet loved people and her pet dogs and cats.

Survivors are her daughter, Donna Floyd of Milner; her sister, Sandy (Doyle) Smith of Cochran; several nieces, nephews and close friends.
