Mrs. Janice Ann Willis Gilbert, age 86, of Cochran, GA, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2023. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Goggans, GA.

Mrs. Gilbert was born on May 15, 1936, in Barnesville, GA. She had 7 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Knight Willis and Hester Warren Willis; sisters Ethel Spencer, Nadine Peacock, Bessie Partain, Margaret Partain; brothers, Julian Willis and Dan Willis; and infant granddaughters Jessica Rose Golden and Jennifer Gilbert.

She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, George A. Gilbert Jr; children Cheryl Ann Williams, Georgia Golden Langston (Mike), William Jackson Gilbert; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She worked for Atlantic National Bank in West Palm Beach, FL; St. Lucie County Bank in Fort Pierce, FL; and she retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to bowl, crochet, and was a big supporter of the Atlanta Braves.

The family will greet friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.
