Cochran – Janie Barron Rowland, age 81, died Friday, December 27, 2019, at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Rowland, born in Hawkinsville, was the daughter of the late Lewis and Essie Roland Barron. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard W. "Dick" Rowland and her son Terry Rowland. She was a homemaker and had worked at Jac-Arts and Lithonia Lighting. She attended Dubois Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Ricky (Patricia) Rowland of Perry, Bobby Rowland of Cochran and Windy (Frank Lillich) Rowland of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren, Daniel Rowland of Atlanta, Joshua Rowland of Woodbridge, VA and Natasha "Nikki" (Reggie) Burris of Middleburg, VA; great-grandchildren, Heidi Rose Rowland and Dakota Burris; sister Ruth McDaniel of Hawkinsville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will greet friends an hour before the service Monday December 30, 2019 at Mathis Funeral Home.
