Cochran – Janis Geraldine Googe Thompson Saunders Robbins, age 82, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cochran. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, 3225 Joycliff Rd, Macon, GA 31211.

Mrs. Janis, born in Hazelhurst, had lived in Cochran for the past 12 years. She was the daughter of the late Cape and Leacie Mae Carter Googe and was preceded in death by her husbands, James Thompson, John A. Saunders, Sr. and her son Calvin Thompson. She was retired and was the owner-operator of Spic & Span Janitorial Services. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in Cochran and was a member of the Relief Society.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry Robbins of Cochran; children, John A. (Jessica) Saunders, Jr. of Barnesville, Gene (Cindy) Saunders of Macon, Tony (Lynn) Thompson of Dexter, Jeff (Terry Lynn) Thompson of Kathleen, Doug (Linette) Thompson of Milledgeville, Stan (Susan) Thompson of Cochran, Wade (Nancy) Saunders of Pocatello, ID and Amy Lynn (Leonard) Adams of Madison, AL; her brother, Charles Googe of Pocatello, ID; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family is at 277 Bates Rd, Cochran and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cochran.
