Cochran – Jean Cook LeGuin, age 84, died Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Green Meadows Personal Care Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Jean, born in Dodge County, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late James Ollie and Doris Smith Cook, was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. "Tommy" LeGuin, Sr. and her granddaughter, Mandy LeGuin. She was a graduate of Cochran High School and Middle Georgia College. Mrs. Jean was a homemaker, had a catering business, had worked at the ACS office and Colonial Feed and Seed. She was a member of the Cochran First United Methodist Church, the James Chamber Sunday School Class, was a choir member and a volunteer for Wonderful Wednesday Children's Ministry.

Survivors are her children, Gil and Diana LeGuin and Travis LeGuin all of Cochran; her grandchildren, T.J. (Brandi) LeGuin of Tybee Island, Jessie Robinson, Nicki (Jerry) Newby, Noah LeGuin and Heather Davis all of Cochran; her great grandchildren, Cook LeGuin, Trey Wilson, Addy Cole Newby, Jaxson Newby, Abram Miller and Jackson Davis; her sister, Linda Chapman of Jacksonville, FL; her brother, Oris (Glenda) Cook of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cochran First United Methodist Church, PO Box 87, Cochran, GA 31014 or the donor's church or charity of choice.

The family is a197 First Ave., Cochran and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
