Cochran – Jean Rountree Smith, age 73, formerly of Fitzgerald, died Monday, November 2, 2020, in Bryant Nursing Center. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Smith, born in Cadwell, was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Ruby Morgan Rountree and the wife of the late Russell Brogdon. She was a retired railroad conductor.

Survivors are her daughter, Jan Smith of Fitzgerald; her sisters, Cathene Padgett of Fitzgerald and Ann (Robert) Roberts of Chester; her brothers, Julius (Glenda) Rountree of Zephyrhills, FL and Ronnie (Joy) Rountree of Waycross; several nieces and nephews including, Tammy Knight of Chester.
