Cochran – Jewell O'Neal Hinson, age 85, died Friday, October 16, 2020, in Regency Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 19, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jewell, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late Avie and Mammie Kitchens Sapp and the wife of the late Fred O'Neal and Sonny Hinson. Mrs. Jewell was preceded in death by her son David O'Neal. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and enjoyed attending the Oak Grove Jamboree. Mrs. Jewell was a member of Cochran First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are her children, Lynn (Gary) Floyd of Chester, Robin (Keith) Floyd and Deniece (Kelly) Peacock of Cochran, Freda (Charlie) Hankins of Warner Robins and Carol O'Neal of Fayetteville; step-children, Tina (Ricky) Haupt and Tim (Beth) Hinson of Cochran; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 619 GA Highway 26 East, Cochran and will greet friends Sunday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home
