Douglas – Joan Howell Moore, age 69, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Joan, born in Cadwell, had lived in Cochran and Hawkinsville most of her life. She was the daughter of the late James Joseph Howell and Georgia Lou Herndon Howell O'Neal. Joan attended Cochran High School and received a Business Administration Degree from Heart of Georgia Technical College. She was an office manager for Piggly Wiggly and IGA in Cochran. Joan was a former member of New Life Church of God in Cochran.

Survivors are her children, Cindy (Ed) McKinnon of Douglas, Ray Norsworthy and Tim Norsworthy both of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley) Floyd of Douglas and April (Brandon) Bowers of Nicholls; great grandchild, Remington Bowers of Nicholls; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends one hour before the service Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
