Eastman – Joel "Joey" Corrie Giddens, age 47, was at his residence Friday, April 28, 2023, when he went peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Joey was born on March 11, 1976. He lived most of his life in Cochran and later moved to Eastman. Joey attended Bleckley County High School. He was a machinist/millwright having worked at Lithonia Lighting, All Axis and B&D Industrial. He was a member of Plainfield Baptist Church.

Joey was a loving husband who enjoyed spending time with his wife and furbabies, riding motorcycles and working on four-wheelers. He had a passion for racing, telling jokes and making others smile and laugh. He was one of a kind.

Survivors include his wife, Heather Trifiletti Giddens; Stepdad, Tommy Dixon; brothers, Bobby Joe Rickerson, Johnny Prince, Ronald Morgan, Terry Peacock and Kevin Allen; sisters, Lisa Wylie, Amanda Floyd and Cassie Floyd; nephew, Dusty Morgan as well as many other nephews and nieces; cousins, Shawn Foskey and several others; brother-in-law, Billy Kitchens; biological mother, Sissy Prince and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Peacock Dixon, his father, Larry Floyd, his brother, David Floyd and his grandparents Eugene and Beth Berry.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made in Joey's honor. Donations may be sent to P.O Box 4595, Eastman, GA 31023.

The family is at 131 Blackberry Dr., Eastman and will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
