Cochran – Joseph Charles "Joey" Sanders, age 36, with sadness, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at Dykes Landing on the Ocmulgee River in Bleckley County. A visitation and celebration of life will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Joey, born in Macon, had lived all of his life in Cochran. Joey loved his family, hunting and fishing. He was a 2006 graduate of Bleckley County High School.

Survivors are children, Kelsey Sanders, Kayleigh Sanders and Cayden Sanders all of Cochran; his parents, Joe and Martha Sanders of Cochran; his sister, Angelique Sanders; his brother, Brandon Sanders; niece and nephews, Breanna Sanders, Preston Sanders, Rayden Sanders and Owen Sanders; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
