Warner Robins - John Borja Cruz, age 65, died Sunday, August 30, 2020, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 12:00 noon, in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with military honors. Burial will be private.

John was born in Agana, Guam and had lived in Cochran from 1993 to 2002 before moving to Warner Robins. He was the son of the late Soledad Borja Cruz. John was a retired SSgt. from the US Air Force, retired from Robins Air Force Base and former women's volleyball coach at Middle Georgia College.

Survivors are his children, Christopher (Diana) Cruz of Ayden, NC, Dane Cruz and Niki (DeShun) Bland of Warner Robins;  seven very special grandchildren, Kobe, Kaleb, Vanessa, Judah, Dylan, Morrigan and Isaiah; his father, Fermin M. Cruz, Sr. of La Puente, CA; his brothers, Fermin M. (Debbie) Cruz, Jr. of Glendora, CA and Dave (Christi) Cruz of Covina, CA; his sister, Mary (John) Bodie of La Puente, CA; several nieces and nephews.

For the funeral service on Saturday, the family request that you wear either casual hawaiian or tropical attire.

The family is at 109 Freeman Drive, Warner Robins and will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
