Byron – John C. "Johnny" Fountain, age 69, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

Johnny, born in Bleckley County, had lived in Byron for 14 years. He was the son of the late Leroy and Geraldine Fountain and was preceded in death by his little sister Kathy Fountain. He was a farmer and had loved farming from the time he was old enough to ride the tractor with his daddy. Johnny loved raising goats and miniature cows.

Survivors are his children, Nicole "Nikki" Fountain of Cochran and John Travis (Naty) Fountain of Montana; his step-children, Allison (Pete) Makuch and Darren (Beth) Turner; his sisters, Mary Cromer of Dexter and Catherine Benson of East Dublin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
