Twiggs County – John Lynn Sanders, age 61, passed away, Friday, January 30, 2026, in the Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in Elsharath Baptist Church in Twiggs County. The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service Tuesday at Elsharath Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Lynn, born in Hawkinsville, had lived most of his life in Twiggs County and was the son of the late John Horace Sanders. He was retired, after 36 years of service, from Ansco Telecommunication Utility Contractors and a 1982 graduate of Twiggs Academy where he played on the state championship basketball team. Lynn loved Ford automobiles, basketball, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Elsharath Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Lora Sanders of Twiggs County; his children, Gary Sanders of Twiggs County, Tiffany (Dan) Oxley of Cochran, Crystal Skipper of Jones County, Megan Dees of McIntyre, Justin (Kendell) Floyd of Cochran and Josh (Shelby) Floyd of Danville; twelve grandchildren; his mother, Esselean Sanders of Twiggs County; his sister, Sharon (Troy) Jackson of Kathleen; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
