Hawkinsville – Johnny Bennett, age 57, died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at his residence, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dubois Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnny, born in Eastman, had lived most of his life in the Middle Georgia area. He was the son of the late Vera Mullis Bennett Fennell Riner and Franklin D. Bennett and was preceded in death by his brother James Bennett. Johnny was a mechanic and a loving husband and dad. He was a member of Dubois Baptist Church and attended Trinity Baptist Church in Hawkinsville.

Survivors are his wife, Dianne H. Bennett of Hawkinsville; children, Susie Hall of Wyoming, Marcella Hall of Hawkinsville and Wayne Frazier of Perry; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Wagner and Abigail LeeAnn Wagner of Rossville; great grandchild, Anna Wagner of Rossville; brothers, Jim Fennell of Eastman, Frank Bennett and Fred Bennett of Colorado and Scott Bennett of Cochran; sisters, Beverly Lay of Eastman, Karen Jarrard of Warner Robins, Lavonne Kirkley of Conyers, Karen Poulder of Flagstaff, AZ and Melissa Hutchings of Reno, NV; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 632 Eastman Highway, Hawkinsville and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
