Jeffersonville – Jonathan Neil Long, "Jaybyrd", age 37, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Jonathan was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. He was preceded in death by his dad and step-mom John and Debbie Long. Jonathan was a roofer by trade and loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons. He enjoyed playing golf and playing cards.

Survivors are his wife, Robin Long of Jeffersonville; children, Cami, Diamond and Kaleb; step-children, Josh Bryant and Kim Bryant; grandchild, Kyleigh Bryant; mother and step-father, Lorene and Mike Leverett of Cochran; brothers, Steve (Michelle) Miller, Eric (Lisa) Miller and David (Brae) Leverett of Cochran; James Long  of Waycross and Tommy Wilkerson of Eastman; sisters, Sharman Nix , Vicky (Mike) Reynolds and Sally Ann Brunell of Waycross and Jenny (Harl) Satterfield of Santa Rosa; FL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
