Cochran – Joseph "Joe" Bryant, Jr., age 91, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Joe, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the son of the late Josephus "J.C." and Vida Powell Bryant. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtice Gafford, Merle Lord and Doris Bryant and his brothers, David Bryant and Bobby "Putt" Bryant. Mr. Joe was retired Transportation Director for Bleckley County Schools, a graduate of Cochran High School and a graduate of Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. He was a US Navy veteran, lifelong farmer and loved driving school buses. Mr. Joe attended Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Donna Bryant of Cochran; his children, Teresa (Mike) Jones of Braselton, Pete (Tracy) Bryant of Macon, Mark (Melinda) Bryant and Tim (Teresa) Bryant all of Cochran; his brother, Houston Bryant of Cochran; his sisters, Melvis Edenfield of Savannah and Mildred Lord of Dudley; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 378 Trail Branch Road, Cochran and will greet friends Friday, April 5, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.
