Chester – Joshua "Squeaky" Rowland, age 27, died Friday, September 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 4:00 P.M. at the House of Grace in Cochran. Burial will be in Rowland Family Cemetery in Chester.

Josh, born in Dublin, had lived most of his life in Chester. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Rocky Porter. Josh was an employee at WOW Maintenance and Repair and was a 2010 graduate of Dodge County High School. Those who knew Josh knew how full of life and sarcasm he was. His love of "tinkering" with anything mechanical, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and anything that went fast was well known, while his witty humor was widely appreciated for bringing light and laughter to every situation and his mischievous behavior lent itself to being every kid's favorite uncle.

Survivors are his father, Johnny Rowland of Chester; his mother, Bobbi Gordon (Jeff) of Bonaire; sister, Alexis Wilson (Melanie) of Decatur; nieces and nephew, Emma, Ryan and Dash Wilson; grandparents, Saundra Porter of Yonker and David Hanson of Dublin; aunts and uncles, Shannon Hanson (Michelle) of Bellingham, WA , Nicole Maloney (Chris) of Dublin, Penny Allen (Tim), Kay Lindsey and Earl White of Chester; several cousins and loving friends; his only surviving fur baby, Peanut.

The family would like to acknowledge those who carried Josh through life and now into his final rest: Aaron Curry, Buck Oliver, Chris Mays, Dayton Wilkes, Ethan Dennis, Hunter Warren, Jerome Johnson, Jordan Graham, Seth Newman.

The family is at 926 Chester-Cochran Highway, Chester and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
