Cochran – Joyce Skipper Thompson, age 89, passed away, Friday, June 7, 2024, in Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Joyce was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Cora Powell Skipper and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Thompson, her grandson, Shane Graham, her sister, Dorothy Skipper, her brother, Gerald Skipper and her sons-in-law, W.J. Graham and Carroll Bryan. She was retired from B.C. Moore and Sons and a homemaker. Mrs. Joyce was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda Graham and Elaine Bryan of Cochran; her grandchildren, April (Brian) Harrell of Cochran, Trent (Stevenie) Bryan of Irwinton and Chad (Shelly) Bryan of Eastman; her great grandchildren, Jack Harrell, Bri Harrell, Dalton Bryan, Chase Bryan, Lilyann Bryan and Carolann Bryan; her sister, Blondine Simmons of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 560 Skipper-Jackson Road, Cochran and will greet friends after the committal service Tuesday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
