Cochran – Kathleen Meredith Peacock Smith, age 93, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Kathleen, born in Camilla, Georgia, had lived her life in Cochran, GA and Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was the daughter of Culpepper (C.W.) Meredith and Ruby Shiver Meredith.  She was the loving sister to Clyde, Nadine, and Bill.  She was wife of the late Henry A. Peacock and the late Roy W. Smith.  She was preceded in death by her son, Alton (Pogie) Peacock and infant daughter, Leila. She worked at L&H Shirt Factory and Windmill Sprinkler in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Kathleen was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and took great pride in being a hard worker and a faithful servant to God and the needy.  She was a selfless and loving woman who cared for others.

She is survived by her brother, Bill (Pat) Meredith, grandchildren, Phillip (Jennifer) Toney and Paige (Dan) Zbin, 3 great grandsons, Daniel, Chris, and Zach Zbin. A special thank you to Buddy and Cindy Peacock for their love and support throughout her years in Cochran.

The family will greet friends one hour before the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
