Cochran – Kathy Lynn Fairfield, age 78, is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus after passing away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in Community Hospice in Vidalia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Fairfield, born in Tipton, Indiana, had lived in Cochran for 30 years. She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, Samuel Doyle and Dessie Pauline Small Phillips and Minnie Phillips, her sister and brother-in-law, Nedra and John Walker, mother and father-in-law, Lee and Virginia Fairfield and sister-in-law Janet Fairfield. Kathy was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, the Women's Sunday School Class and the Women's Group.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Fairfield; children, Mike (Pam) Freeman, Monica Hilburn, Melinda (Pee-Wee) Ingram, Steve (Sherry) Fairfield and Rhonda Davis; brothers and sisters, Mike (Pat) Phillips, Dennis Fairfield, Raymond (Carol) Fairfield, Jerry (Cynthia) Fairfield, Marcus (Donna) Fairfield, Lela (Pat) McCoy, Amelia Wahl, Audrey (Don) Konemann, Doris (Byron) Hodge, and Nancy (Jeff) Windhorst; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda (Matthew) Ginn, Andrea (Adam) Walton, Grady  Hilburn (Laura Parsons), Grant (Autumn) Hilburn, Ben (Ashley) Smith, Glen (Desiray) Smith, Ty Ingram, Kimberly (Randy) Nipper, Kalyn Waddell, Brandon (Emily) Fairfield, Brittany Delcid, Alli (Luke) Jones, Matthew Ramirez;  nineteen great grandchildren and one on the way, McKenzie Ginn, Maverick Ginn, Graysen Hilburn, Gracelynn Hilburn, Kamre Smith, Hadley Smith, Finley Smith, Cassie Nipper, Cade Nipper, Grayson Waddell, Blakely Smith, Anakin Spencer, James Spencer, Adi Womble, Ari Womble, Maggie Fairfield, Sophia NeeSmith, Alex Jones, and Sapphire Jones.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to Bethany Baptist Church, 608 GA Highway 26 East, Cochran, GA 31014, or Community Hospice, 904 Mount Vernon Road, Vidalia, GA 30474 or the donor's charity of choice.

The family is at 119 Country Club Circle, Cochran and will greet friends one hour before the service Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church.
