Chester – Kathy Hosford Rogers, age 63, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Rogers Cemetery.

Born in Hawkinsville, Kathy spent most of her life in Dodge County. She was the daughter of the late James Oliver, Sr. and Kemper Holt Hosford and was preceded in death by her husband, James M. "Buck" Rogers. Kathy was a 1979 graduate of Dodge County High School, had worked as a lab technician and was a homemaker. Kathy was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors are her son, Collin Taylor Wimberly of Chester; her granddaughter, Addie Wimberly; her brothers, James O. "Buddy" (Emily) Hosford and Phillip (Brenda) Hosford all of Chester; several nieces and nephews.
