Cochran – Kyle Helms, age 39, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Kyle was a lifelong resident of Cochran. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shelia Hatfield Helms. He was a 2004 graduate of Bleckley County High School, a member of the FBLA, served as FBLA State Parliamentarian and was on the BCHS Golf Team. Kyle was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in economics and an IT specialist. He was a loving uncle, friend and avid "Dawg Fan".  He was a member of Sweet Home Primitive Baptist Church in Chester.

Survivors are his father, Greg Helms of Cochran; his brother, Davy (Mitzi) Helms of Cochran; his sister, Brittney Helms of Cochran; his nieces, Aubrey and Avery and his nephew, Cole.

The family is at 341 Country Club Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
